Ovulation date wrong?

Question

Do any of you experience EWCM days after your actual ovulation date? Feeling very strange this month but unless I ovulated 4-5 days before I got my usual/monthly bout of EWCM I can’t be pregnant... just wondering how accurate EWCM is as an indicator of ovulation?

Ewcm is caused by increased estrogen levels, which is why it happens before ovulation. You can get it again after ovulation due to a normal, secondary estrogen surge. You can also fail to ovulate, which is why it may happen frequently as your body tries again (which is why bbt charting is recommended to confirm ovulation) or due to estrogen producing cysts.
