So I was officially diagnosed with PCOS last month. My dr. Told me to lose 5-10% of my body weight and started me on Metformin, and I go back on Wednesday for my first follow up. So far I’ve lost 10 pounds doing whole30, almost to my initial weight loss goal. She said she wanted to try me on this regimen until the end of the year before doing clomid/femara. But I know I’m not ovulating now, and my hormones are still out of whack. Tons of chin hairs still and constantly almost positive OPKs, which means my LH is still high. Is it fair to ask to move to those drugs yet? I know things take time, but I know I’m not ovulating and just feel like I’m wasting time. I’m sticking with the paleo diet and going to keep being healthy, but I just know I’m going to need more than just this course of action to get pregnant.
