Terrible at being married

I feel like it shouldn't be this hard.

I love him and he loves me and we want to spend the rest of our lives together but it's so hard.

I feel like such a terrible wife 90% of the time. I feel like we are never on the same page. It's like we speak different languages. No matter what I do, I feel like it's always wrong, we always misinterpret each other.

I don't know what to do anymore.

Marriage is not easy, hon. There's a reason why the divorce rate is so high. My husband and I have been married three years and it has been a RIDE. There have been several times I've wanted to throw in the towel, but if you truly love each other, you'll work through it. It gets easier as time goes on, trust me.

Go to counseling. Like, to a real licensed marital therapist, not a pastor or friend.  It's really great. It's great even if you don't have problems. Also, don't worry too much about being a terrible wife. That job description is infinitely flexible. Be a wonderful you. And show love. And be patient. This is all assuming that you are safe. If not, just get out ASAP!
