CAVD....??

Jami
C-section after vaginal deliveries. Has anyone else had this happen?? I've had 3 successful vaginal deliveries, but I ended up with complications leading to a c-section. Now I feel super bad, like I failed my baby. He has stuff going on because of it. His lungs aren't as cleared out as they should be, his ears potentially have "goop" in them from not being squeezed through the birth canal and he hasn't been able to pass a hearing test. I cried when I found out I was having a c-section, it went well, but now I feeling crying about it more.    😢

My first was vaginal. The entire pregnancy was perfect from beginning to end. I couldn't have asked for a better delivery. My second was a scheduled csection because the baby was breech. I had a few scares with this pregnancy. I experienced some bleeding in the first and second trimesters. My point is, it doesn't matter how the baby is brought into this world. As long as both baby and mom are healthy, that's all that matters.

First off you did not fail. Yes your body gave out on you so you needed a c-section. But you did not fail your child. They are alive!!! You kept them alive inside you and you produced a wonderful life. Yes, due to the c-section you have different things to worry about like the ear goop issue, but each delivery comes with its own complications. As long as you look at that baby and think in going to do everything I can to keep you safe/happy you have not failed!!!Stay strong mama, and don't let his labor/c-section went destroy these precious moments with your newborn!!

You didn't fail. Sometimes birth outcomes are out of our control and it is ok to "mourn" the birth you believed you would have.

I felt the EXACT same way with my daughter and it led to severe postpartum depression. I beg you, please talk to your doctor about these feelings! It's not worth almost ruining your life over if you feel this way for more than a week or two! With that said, you are absolutely NOT a failure! C Sections happen to 1 in 3 women - are they all failures too? Of course not! It's yet another miraculous way to bring a human being into this world! Are c sections fun? No. Are they worth it? Absolutely! You are a strong, amazing woman to have been through what you have just been through! Give yourself some credit and love on that beautiful new baby of yours!

My first was natural and same with the second one. Only that the second was stillborn. I was thinking if I went to the hospital earlier and had a cs they could have probably save my baby. Your baby will be better and fine. Prayers for you and ur baby.
