Thoughts? Advice? Experience? Lay it on me!

I'm pregnant right now with our 2nd. And we are leaning towards one more baby after this. Our 1st is going to be just shy of 3 years old when our 2nd is born. And I really want to shorten the gap of time between babies if we do go for a 3rd. With our first, my son. We breastfed until a bit past a year and I never saw my period in that span. I cant recall exactly, but I think it came back a month or 2 after I weaned him. So I'm worried it wont be possible for us to conceive while breastfeeding. And I most certainly wont give up breastfeeding until at least 9 months old. But on the plus side we tend to make babies quickly. Took 2 months with my first and 1 month with this current baby.
