Has ANYONE experienced this? My partner will go down on me and Bc it feels so good, when he tries to lift his head up I will push it back down. He claims (in a loving, joking way) that I'm suffocating him

I’ve been with my boyfriend for two years and neither of us are really experienced in oral so when he goes down on me it feels good sometimes and other times it just awkward, I mean I have never faked anything I just beg him to come up and fuck me, because it’s not really doing anything for me.
