Redo the blood test?

So I’ve had 4 positive at home tests and went yesterday to get a blood test from the doctor to confirm. They called me today and told me that my numbers indicate that I’m very early, so the doctor wants me to wait a week and retake the blood test. Has this happened to anyone else? Any reason to stress?

Your numbers are just supposed to double every 72 hours so they want to see the HCG rising! It can be hard to say when you implant and I think 20 is about 3 weeks instead of 4-5 so I’m sure they want to help you date the pregnancy as well. My sister had an early MC in 2015 and I remember her levels being 20 at the ER on Saturday when she was bleeding and 8 on Monday when they said she had a pregnancy loss so the actual number isn’t as important as it rising/doubling in general for viability.

I got a positive last Wednesday 9dpo and had blood test Thurs 10dpo.  It was 20.  I went back Monday for another and I'm going tomorrow for a third.
