How long can you be 80% effaced before labor?

Asking for a friend... 😂 No I’m just anxious to meet my little one. Today I was 1 cm dilated, 80% effaced, very soft and he’s still head down at 0 station! I know none of this means anything and that I could still have weeks left to go but I’m hoping that’s not the case! 🤦🏻‍♀️

I was 85% and 1cm the morning before I had my first!

I’m curious too because I’m 70% effaced and she is head down already in position and has been for weeks now

google effacement you get some good graphs and pictures of what 0 means thats a good number hes getting ready!

My OB was just telling me that she stripped someones membrane who was 5 cm dilated with a bulging bag and she continued to be pregnant for another couple of weeks!

I’ve been stuck at 4 cm dilated and 80% effaced for almost a month now. Probably gonna have to be induced. 🙃
