Could it be possible for you to have a period and still be pregnant?

My friend had her period for 5 months while pregnant which is why she didn't know until 5 months along that she was having a baby boy. Unfortunately she was put in bed rest because apparently the periods symboled that her body was preparing to miscarry but she never did. Tough pregnancy but a healthy baby boy after 9 months

It happened to me! Was no where near as heavy as a proper period though, but it was enough to make me extremely worried. The doctor said it was either heavy implantation bleeding or just caused by all the changes inside my body, as well as my hormones.

It is not possible to have a period while pregnant. However, there are many other types of bleeding like implantation, subchorionic hemorrhage, irritated cervix, and placenta previa.

Haven't been to the doctor for the first appointment yet, so take this with a grain of salt, but my June period was weird. It was spotty for a day, then normal for two days, and basically nonexistent the third day and was done- norally it is super heavy the first two days, then lightens up and ends. Could this have been implantation bleeding? I'm on my first pregnancy and am just curious if it is just wishful thinking on my part lol. Doc appt is in a week so I'll have a solid answer then, but was just wondering what you all thought :)

My aunt had periods with both her kids is very possible but very uncommon.. I had four bfp and I started bleeding on and off like it's was AF but it's bright red and very thin so I'm hoping when I go to the  obgyn this week he will say that it wasn't a chemical and that I'm one of the very  uncommon cases that have there af while pregnant.
