Don't scoop the litter box and if you have to, wear gloves and a mask.

my cat is a Himalayan indoors cat, so i don't have any concern with bringing my baby into the same house as him. it's also been proven that babies born into houses with animals are less likely to develop allergies.

We ended up putting our cat outside. He's a good cat, but he keep chewing on EVERYTHING, even though he's almost 4 years old. He's a human lover, and always has to be laying on someone, anyone, so I'm afraid he'll try laying on her in her crib or bassinet.

We have 3, my SO changes the litter & when she arrives we'll keep a close eye on her until they're adjusted.

It's fine. You just need to get someone to change the little box. And you need to wash your hands everytime you pet the cat. It also is more likely that your cat has it if she is an outdoor cat. But if she has been out always most likely the cat got it right away from eating mice and in uninfected now. But, there is no way to identify if you cat is infected so just take the precautions mentioned. There is no reason to get rid of the cat.

If they are outdoor cats, don't scoop litter box. My cats are strictly indoor cats and my dr said its ok scooping their litter since they aren't eating anything outside that can put toxins in their poop.

I currently have four cats. I just don't clean the box or mess with them if they get sick.

Worst thing to worry about is during pregnancy changing the litter. If you must you can wear gloves and a mask nothing fancy shoot even pulling your shirt up over your knows keeps you safe.
