Appointments?

I’m 30 weeks, do the appointments start to differ now that I’m 10 weeks away? All my appointments have been literally 10 minutes listen to heart rate and go! Lol when do they start checking for dilation? I’m ready! Lol

My OB increases visits to every 2 weeks beginning with 30 weeks.  Then it’s every week beginning at 36 weeks.

Your appointments will probably be the same until about 35+ weeks. They started doing cervical checks on me at 35 weeks but each Dr. is different. At one of those appointments you will probably get the Strep B test done.

Usually around 36 weeks is when they start having you come in every week. Some doctors will feel your belly to make sure baby is head down. At around 36 weeks you should be getting any additional labs and the strep B test.     Checking dilation depends on the doctor. My doctor won't check until week 39 because checking can potentially cause premature labor. He will check though if I have any serious contractions before week 39.  So usually appointments change around 36 weeks but it really just depends on your history and how your pregnancy has gone so far as well as your doctor
