2 sacs one heartbeat. Possible twins??

Hi!! I went for my first ultrasound today and there were two sacs but only one heartbeat. The other sac had a yolk sac it in. I go back in a week to see if it develops or fades away. I’m 8 w today, but the one measured at 7w

. I was curious what the chances were if it developed or didn’t. Let me know if anyone has had experience!!

This is exactly how my pregnancy started out. One baby and one heartbeat with a tiny second sac. A week later there were two babies so it’s possible!

You could have double ovulated and just ovulated a few days later than the first twin. I have twins but I wonder if they are from two eggs being released at the same time or from two eggs being released at different times as baby B always measured a few days behind. :) good luck!!

It’s may be vanishing twin. No way of telling at this point. Maybe the other sac is measuring ahead and the other one will still develop. Usually heartbeats are visible between 6-7 weeks. You should no for sure by your next appointment.
