My daughter is 6 weeks old and has been having GER symptoms almost since birth. Her pediatrician said that as long as she's gaining weight the best thing would be to wait it out, as medicines like Zantac come with side effects, and most babies grow out of it in a few months.

We do gripe water and simethicone, as well as keep her upright after feedings. And while these things may be helping, the underlying issue is still there.

I am having a hard time watching my daughter suffer every night. Dose anyone else out there give their baby Zantac? Have you had any problems with side effects? Do you think the medication has actually helped your baby?
