Types of Birth Control

hey all (-:

I'm 18 and have never been on birth control, mainly because I've never needed to, as I've been in a long distance relationship for a while. But I'm getting married in December!! Therefore, I'd like to get BC taken care of beforehand so we don't have any suprises (not yet, anyway!). I've done some research, and am leaning towards the combination pill, but am looking for opinions!

which types of birth control have worked best for you? Pill or other?
