Boyfriend or Husband that works a overnight job

So my boyfriend works overnight from midnight to 830am.I work during the day typically 11-7 or 10-6.My boyfriend watches our kids during the day while I work.Yes I realize not having to pay for daycare is a true blessing,however all he does is watch them and I can’t get him to do anything else.He won’t take the trash out,wash dishes give them bath or even cook dinner without me asking..I don’t expect him to do this everyday but I can’t even get help on his off nights because he just sleeps.Anyone going through anything like this?? Or maybe I’m just overreacting.
