I honestly just need to vent. My mom is living with me and my husband right now. She is a “professional” hair stylist, or used to be. She has fallen down a really dark and deep hole the last few years. Her license has expired. She did two girls hair like a week or 2 ago for some money to buy food for us. She dyed both of their hair and styled it. The girls are like 18 or 19, maybe 20. She had to lighten both of their hair to do what they wanted. They played my mom and took forever to sit down and leg my mom do their hair. It ended up taking my mom up to about 22 hours to do their hair because they kept running errands while my mom was trying to do their hair, but she needed the money so she put up with it. What she did to their hair would have easily even about $200 a piece, but for both heads she was only going to charge them a total of about $180. Well, they refused to pay it. My mom should have gotten her money first or at least part of it. She had brought their extensions to my house to dye them for them, so she is keeping those till they pay her. They think giving her $10 is “more than enough” for her work. My mom went out of her way to go to their house, put up with their bullshit, and $10 is more than enough? I really am mad for my mom and I am actually sick of hearing about the situation because my mom doesn’t realize that there is nothing she can do because her license isn’t valid for hair. She thinks she is going to take them to court over this, but honestly this will probably just get my mom in trouble. Sorry, I just needed to vent about the situation for a minute.
