My boy is here! Due October 31st but decided to surprise us with his arrival a few days early on 26/10 at 10.25pm. 54cm long, 38cm head circumference and weighing in at 9p 7ou. After a near 24 hour labour, where I mostly only used gas (had a morphine shot early on to try sleep through contractions because I’d need awake for 24hrs plus and was only 4cm dilated) I was coming to the end of my energy and had drs around the corner to give me an epidural, which I was trying to avoid and another midwife ready to slice me open, I did 2 big pushes and he flew into the world. I couldn’t be happier with the experience and my partner was hands down so incredibly helpful and supportive- couldn’t have done it without him.
