When is it okay to use the expectant mothers parking?

at my local super marker theres a parking space designated for expactant mothers. theres never any one ever parked there. ever since the day after i got pregnant my boyfreind has been trying to park there but i never let him just incase a mother that actually needs the space comes along. however, last night while making a trip for some night time cravings i was tempted to use the space but felt guilty. im 17 weeks and not showing at all and dont nessecarily need the space, but when its 40 degrees out and rain/snowing, its tempting to use. with all of that, im only 17 so i'd hate for someone to think im just a rude teen taking the spot because its open. whats your opinion? would you be angry if you saw someone who didnt nessecarily need the spot using it? am i just over thinking it?

It's more meant for women who are further along and have a hard time walking. If you are second guessing, don't do it.

When/if it is difficult for you to walk further distances is a good rule of thumb. Ive never had that problem so never used one. By the time i get to third tri i WANT to walk further to get that baby out, lol

I’m 33 weeks and I will still only use them if it’s bad weather or no other spots relatively close to the door. The problem I see is that a lot of times when it’s raining or something the one spot is taken, and I’d say nine out of ten times it’s by someone clearly not pregnant, but lazy who doesn’t want to walk in the rain or park further off.
This pisses me off, because I am due December and if it’s snowing, I’m unstable walking and 38-39 weeks pregnant and I see some asshole guy parked there I am going to absolutely lose it.

I would wait until 3rd trimester when you have trouble walking long distances.

I mean i use it sometimes im 29 weeks i dont really look it and i can walk fine but i use it when i have my 3 yr old with me bc its more work and i get out of breathe. But i think if your pregnant use it if you need it

I know exactly how you feel!! I never used the spaces because I had such a healthy pregnancy and didn’t feel like I needed to park any closer than anyone else. But if it was cold and nobody was using the spot and you’re feeling lazy, then heck yeah use the spot. If anyone questions you because you’re not showing, punch them in the crotch.

Honestly my first trimester was awful and the thought of walking further than I needed to was daunting. If my supermarket had those spots I would have used it in first trimester! But now that I’m second trimester I feel a lot better and wouldn’t need it right now

I was 20 weeks and had a toddler, a very very high risk pregnancy but not showing and everyone was rude to me for parking there. They said I wasn’t pregnant. I told them to fuck off. The manager even said there’s nothing they can do, not like they can ask for proof you’re pregnant. If you need to, park there. 🤷‍♀️

I only start using it when I'm having a hard time moving around. That's what it's really meant for
