We arrived at the hospital at about 530 am and by 7:30 I had pitocin, my water broke, and the epidural. I labored for about 3 hours and then had to retry the epidural because it didn't take the first time. The second try was also unsuccessful, so another doctor came in and it finally took. From about 10:46- 3:00 e everything was fine and I was dilating quickly. I started feeling very painful pressure in my "bottom" area as I had each contraction. That was awful awful pain. They finally redosed the epidural and it subsided. I started pushing around 5:45 and pushed until 8:31 when Benton Nash was finally born. I had to have two stitches for a first degree tear but otherwise we are both fine and healthy! I can't describe the relief I felt after finally pushing him out. I was beyond ready.

After everything was done my doctor admitted that she was very very surprised I was able to have him back ally. She was afraid I would end up with a C-section, but we pushed through. I was very lucky to have my close cousin help deliver Benton into this world. Such a cool memory.
