Can antidepressant medication cause a false positive pregnancy test?

I’ve been on fluoxetine 20 mg generic for Prozac and I took 2 pregnancy tests yesterday that both had faint positives. Then I read that certain medications can cause false positives is this true?

I was on an Effexor and it made me have a miscarriage. If you’re trying to conceive, just ask your Dr if the meds that you’re on are safe!

As far as I know the only antidepressant that can do that is Lithium (which i take) bc of your water in take. Other than that no they shouldn't.

I take antidepressants and my tests were always correct whether it was negative or positive.

Hmmm unless medicine has a certain amount of hcg in it I don’t see how it can affect a pregnancy test
