Are 8 week US done vaginally or on the abdominal?

For those who already had their first official prenatal appointment, how is the US done? I feel like this is something stupid to worry about but I really don’t want to do another vaginal US!

It depends on your dr. I was 7 weeks 5 days and they did a abdominal US with me

Transvaginal but I'm chunky, that makes a difference

I am going in at 6 weeks. My mom wanted to go so I called ahead to ask if it will be on my belly or vaginally. They said they will only do it vaginally if they think something is wrong and they need a closer look.
