What does back labor feel like ?

I’m a first time mom due November 12th ! I’m having bad pain on the right side lower to middle back !

It feels like really bad mensural cramping in your back. I also had bad cramping in my legs as well. 😩

Felt like mine was being snapped in half during each contraction ☹️ hope I get away without it this time, if not I’ll be getting epidural this time probably, I can’t cope with that again. I felt like I was in survival mode

Mine started with 1st baby (he was born face up which causes back labor) once i was in active labor. It felt like a wave how it would rollll in and rolll out. The pain was like having your bones broken again and again and again or like a knife in the lower back. Unfortunately it would just roll out and then front labor would roll in. It was hard to practice good breathing technique. My biggest fear was how can i push with this pain?! Once i started having uncontrollable urge to push out baby (felt like i needed to use the bathroom) the pain  completely stopped. I would just feel a little bit in front roll in knew a contraction is coming and just push! I went from screaming uncontrollably to talking rationally and breathing normally! This baby #2 is facing the correct way (toward my back) for about a month! Hoping she stays like this! I ended up doing an all natural drug free birth with #1 i started out at midwife requested at 7cm to be transfered to hospital for epidural. Got there and it was too late baby was coming out! Im so glad i felt start to finish! I know ive got this, this time!

Like a knife has been inserted into your spine and someone is twisting it. Most horrific pain I’ve ever felt and the epidural didn’t even take the pain away entirely.

Back labor feels like really bad cramps in your back. I had back labor with my first and it was horrible. My back kept tightening up and at points it felt like needles being put in my back.

Check you don’t have a uti if pain is only one side, notice if you have any other symptoms.  Baby could also be back to back and lying more to that side!

I had so much pain in my lower back that I could not get comfortable or lay down it is like pressure in the lining of the pants area
