Can I breastfeed my toddler ?

I currently have a two month old that I’m breastfeeding but I noticed that my toddler likes the taste of my breast milk from the times that I’ve given him a taste from the milk I’ve pumped but I’m wondering if I can breastfeed him too ? Or should I not do it ? He’s 16 months

No problem to breastfeed! Just look up some info on tandem feeding. Always feed the youngest first. They rely on breastmilk for all their nutrients and your toddler doesn’t. My 18 month old is still breastfeeding. Nothing wrong with breastfeeding until you want to stop! The worldwide average to stop breastfeeding is age 4, which means there are TONS of children breastfeeding last that point.

Most toddlers who’ve weaned forget how to latch. You can try. It’s likely your child won’t be able to nurse.

I’d just pump for the toddler if they’re already off boob. Seems odd to go back and forth in dining milestones.

I don’t know if the latch will work but I would totally give him some milk if I felt I had extra

It's all up to you. It would definitely be good for him, but it's not necessary at his age. Maybe just a couple of times a day, as morning or bedtime cuddles. There's no reason not to. It would drive me nuts, but you aren't me.
