 I have been engaged over 5 years and am getting married in 2 and a half months. We wanted to get married the same year we got engaged, but could not afford it. And up until this year, we have not been able to afford one. So we decided to do a very very small ceremony.

My fiance proposed 20 days before our 2 year anniversary and our engagement will last 18 months in its entirety. We're getting married 2 weeks after I graduate college and are paying for a lot of things ourselves. The length of our engagement is based on school, budget, and the time of year we wanna get married.
