How is brushing your toddler's teeth going?

I don't brush my daughter's twice a day. Just once before bed. She likes holding the toothbrush in her mouth, but you can't help or she loses it, so we let her "brush" then we have to pin her down. She gets the fluoride in her mouth so that's going to have to be good enough till she's old enough to reason with

Sing a brushing song. It pretty much has to be done to avoid potential cavities, which would be way more traumatic for them to deal with. It helps if you sit down and lie them on their back with their head in your lap then you can use your legs and one arm to control their body parts if need be and you still have the other arm to brush

My girl loves it! It's how I get her to come to me for diaper changes, she "brushes" as best she can and I go over it to make sure. My boy (her twin) HATES it! Used to love it then became less interested now he closes his mouth tight and I have to get in scrub as much as I can and call it good 😩 we only do it a night when they can actually brush good, independently I'll switch them to 2xs a day.
