Perineal tear infected?

I’m 3 weeks pp and my stitches went away just over a week ago. I haven’t had any pain in my perineum since a few days before the stitches dissolved but yesterday as today I feel it again. It feels like it did a day or two after, just not as constant. Looking at it, it looks ok as far as I can tell but I’m not sure. The pain and itching is the only things I’ve noticed. Could it be infected? Should I call my doctor?

I would call your doctor. Better safe than sorry! I had to have my episiotomy stitches re-done due to infection. I’m so thankful I made an appointment at the clinic when I felt something wasn’t right. Hopefully yours is nothing, but no harm in getting it checked.
