I never thought about this until I went to college and began to learn more about consent. It has been bugging me for over a year now, so I thought I’d ask.

The summer before I went to college my friend got back together with an ex that she’d been hung up on for a long time. They went out a couple times. When She went home with him intending to have sex, she asked if he had condoms, he said no. She said we could run to the store. He said no. She told him they couldn’t have sex then. “Let’s go upstairs anyways” he said. They made out for a while and got naked. She told him no sex because no condom. Well they got into it and he said “let me stick it in a couple times, I did it with my ex all the time” she said no again. She finally relented but now that she thinks about it shes not sure she verbally said YES. Even if she did, do would you consider it rape because she said no multiple times before? She doesn’t feel as though she was raped. At the time it felt consensual. She never said no. She doesn’t feel like the victim and him and her remain friends to this day. I never internalized this until now and it’s stressing me out.
