I went to the doctor on Wednesday, about 5 days ago. They checked my cervix for the first time and said that my cervix is completely closed still and Im 50% effaced. I’ve been having pain below my stomach but above my vagina since. This morning around 5am I woke up in so much pain that I couldn’t stand. I went back to sleep and woke up around 9am with the same pain. When I used the bathroom my mucus plug came out. It’s almost 12pm now and I’m still having this sharp pain in my uterus. It comes on really strong and I breathe through it until it passes. It’s almost like period cramps. Does losing the mucus plug hurt or am I in labor?

Update: Charlie Alana born November 1st, 2018. The pain was so bad I went ahead and went in to the hospital. Contractions kept jumping between 5-7 minutes. We went to hospital and they admitted us once contractions dropped to 4-5 minutes. They went back up to 6-7 and stayed there so I was induced. As a first time mom this is mind blowing! She is an absolute dream come true!
