Taking baby on the plane?

How does it work.. do they go in a car seat?? Or some special kind of seat belt or what 😅 travelling for Christmas and I never even thought about this part

You can pay for the seat next to you if you want baby in a car seat.  However, you can also leave baby on you. We took my son on vacation to his past summer and he literally just sat on our laps. Nothing special. Made me uneasy in the event of an emergency that he wasn't secured or anything but all was fine.

Carried our baby in ergo Baby. No issues. She sat in my lap 7 weeks old.

Either you purchase a seat for your baby and bring their car seat on the plan for them to sit in, OR they fly (for free) as a “lap baby” aka “infant in arms” and you hold them. 
The safer and in my opinion easier option is to purchase a seat, though obviously this costs more.

Depends on how old and how much you’d like to spend. Both trips with my daughter at 3 months and 16 months we chose to specify her as a lap child. If you want to bring a car seat you must pay for a regularly priced additional ticket. We did fine just checking the stroller at the gate for when we got off and on and holding her. I think they have to be under 3 for lap child but am not 100% sure

You can either purchase a seat for your little one and bring the car for your baby or you can hold your baby during the flight, which is free. My husband and I always purchase a seat for our daughter, she seems more comfortable. One of us used to hold her up until she was six months. Like I said, she seems more comfortable.
