Grunting?

Hi all! My twin girls were born 10/7 at 35 weeks and have been home from the NICU a week now. They grunt a lot which they say is normal. Any other preemie moms experience this?

We went through every animal sound imaginable in the first few weeks (goat, sheep, even a dinosaur at one bit), felt like we were living in a barn. Tbh I can't even remember when it stopped but she doesn't do it now (8 months old, born at 29 weeks).

My daughter’s pediatrician said it’s a preemie thing and it’s just something they outgrow

Yes! I couldn’t sleep, my little guy was so loud. He’s 5 months now and stopped grunting around 3 months actual (1 month adjusted).

My 35 weeker is now 6 weeks and still grunts all the time. I didn’t know it was a preemie thing, but I’m happy to know she will grow out of it! It used to sketch me out all the time when I first took her home. You’ll get used to it eventually lol

My son was 4 weeks early, now almost 8 weeks old and still grunts... all the time especially at night!
He’s perfectly healthy and growing well!  Our pediatrician told us same thing. It’s normal

Yes!  Those grunts, we stretch, grunt and poot.  That seems to be my little one's pattern.  I have heard it is very normal and just something they outgrow.  Love the sleeper!  My LO had the same one!

My son didn’t stop grunting until he was about 2-3 months adjusted. I would always worry so much if I didn’t hear grunting lol.
