My labour lasted about seven hours from the first contraction to him being born. It only took four hours to go from 2 cm to fully dilated. He pretty much popped out after 40 minutes of pushing. I didn't have time for any pain relief, and I can honestly say that the pushing and crowning did not hurt at all. The contractions are the real killer! It was nothing like my very difficult first labour, and I really never thought I could do it without the pain relief.

Unfortunately my baby has a foot deformity we didn't know about, but the plastic surgeon seems to think it won't lead to lasting disability.
