Braxton Hicks all day or could this be early labor?

I’m 38 + 3 days. I had Braxton Hicks contractions all day long yesterday. Last night I had them every 5-10 minutes for several hours but they didn’t get any stronger or closer together. I went to sleep still woke up in the middle of the night with contractions. I’m going crazy. I’m having the belly tightening, menstrual like cramps and low back pain but nothing is progressing. Uggh. Could this go on for weeks like this or does this mean labor should start soon?
