Charcoal For Teeth Whitening?

has anybody tried activated charcoal for teeth whitening? did it help?

It does help but I don’t recommend using if often, it kind of breaks down your teeth it seems, like it seems like it makes it white bc it takes off the layers of your teeth lol I could be wrong but that’s how it seems to me

I tried it, but I barely do it often,  ( charcoal tooth powder) that I found from tjmaxx. from the recommendation of my dentist. She also said to use baking soda as an alternative to the charcoal. Because I would get stains on my teeth from drinking tea, and hot coco. But what really helped me is to cut all tea and coffee drinks out. And my routine is I drink my mint tea ( with creamer ) with a straw and Bush my teeth afterwards with a  whitening tooth  paste, that protects the tooth enamel and to prevent stains. 
Mostly because I was afraid that the charcoal would damage my teeth. So I stopped doing it. My teeth are naturally white, since doing this routine. 
It sucks but if I do drink something that will stain my teeth, I dilute it. Or just don’t drink it. 🤷🏽‍♀️  
Now as a disclaimer this worked for me, I can’t say for sure if it will work for you. And I should also point out that my dentist basically said that some people will get stains, some will not. Not everyone is the same.

Seems like it would be harsh on your teeth to me but idk....if I used it I'd definitely use like pro enamel or something like it also....and probably wouldn't use the charcoal often...

It works but ONLY on surface stains. So it will help if you drink a lot of coffee and tea. Don't use more than twice a week because it is harsh and abrasive so it can cause gum sensitivity and enamel wear. The powder kind is more effective but harder to rinse off. I use HELLO brand paste that combines it with coconut oil, peppermint oil, and sugar free sweetener

I use baking soda with my regular tooth paste in the morning then Lush charcoal toothy tabs in the evening. I often get compliments on my teeth and smile. 😁
