Should Husband apologize to other woman?

Husband caught sending inappropriate messages, emojis, and flirty passes that he claims was him being selfish and "trying to see if he still had it" "whatever that means-his game" with an ex co-worker. Should he write her back to tell her the truth that he wasn't being truthful in the things he said to her?

Yes, but not for clarity for her. But because he's obviously lying and trying to cover his tracks and it'll be really hard for him to say he didn't mean it, so being the wife getting played i'd want to watch him squirm.
