Order virgin drinks??

Question

I'm 25 and my husband and I have been TTC for just a few months now. I know you're supposed to wait a few weeks to reveal that you're expecting.. but when we finally do get the good news, how am I supposed to keep it from my friends and family until we're ready to tell?

My main concern is that going out for dinner with friends is a common occurance for us and I'm not sure I could avoid the inevitable, "Ooooh - not drinking?!" accusatory comments.. Anyone been put through this third degree and lived to give some good advice?

Tell them you drank a lot the night before, have a hangover, and just don't really feel like drinking tonight.

I would tell them I'm the one going to drive home. My so and I and our friends that are couples take turns with all that sometimes :)

Order a "new" drink and pretend to drink it? If someone asks why you didn't finish..  Just say I didn't really like it

I'm going through that right now! Haha my whole family and friends all notice when I don't drink! So I've tried a couple things.. 1. I drank too much last weekend, giving my liver a break. 2. That stuff makes u gain weight, and I'm trying to do the opposite... 3.(if we're out) "i can go home and drink for free, 😜 think I'll just wait! " that's all I've got so far... Lol working on it!
