I know everyone's different but ...???

Question

So yesterday I went to doctors and they told me I'm 80% effaced & 2 cm. I'm wondering if any of you ladies were about that before going into labor and how many days after you went in... I know everyone's different but I feel like cause I'm 80% effaced it might be any day now.. Then again it might just me wishful thinking lol

I'm 40 weeks + 3 and just had my internal exam . I'm scheduled for an induction Sunday but I'm only 50% effaced , and 2 cm dilated that's it.  She also did a membrane sweep today but that just gave me cramps I'm sure it'll be soon

I was 2cm & 50% effaced from week 35 to week 38. 2cm & 80% effaced at week 39. 2 almost 3cm & 90% effaced at week 40 & now I am sitting in the hospital waiting for my induction. 41 weeks today

I was 70% effaced at just shy of 36 weeks and my doctor said she hoped I made it to 38 weeks. Here I am...38.6. Just as pregnant as ever. No idea if I've progressed since then since I haven't had a cervical exam since.

At my appt at 39+4 I was told 90% effaced and 1cm, but he then said 80% because he didn't want the next person to say 80% and it upset me. At 40+2 we went to L&D for low movement (baby was fine) I was 80% and 2cm, discharged at 6:30pm. I started contractions that I could time at 8pm and water broke at 1:45am the next day. Baby was born 11:50am 40+3.

my doctor told me effacement is really neither here nor there for FTM's, that its more the dialation that counts... but most of what happens happens during labor just cuz your body has no clue. it is its first time too you know lol

I was 1 cm and 80% effaced at 37 weeks- I'm now at 40+2 and no sign of baby :(
