Testing after chemical pregnancy

After going through a chemical pregnancy on 7/22, I'm kind of afraid to test this cycle.. Yet I'm super antsy. After you suffered a chemical did you test before or after AF was supposed to show? Comments are more than welcome, as I'm trying to stay calm and fight the urge.
