Why do some women on the pill get pregnant?

I was watching the show "I didn't know I was pregnant" and the majority of the women said they were on the pill. So im confused on how this could be.

Its not 100% effective. Just like condoms arent 100%!

If you don't take it at the same time every day it can become ineffective or miss a pill or pills. Also certain antibiotics can make it ineffective for an entire cycle sometimes even two.

It's not 100% effective, most forms of birth control isn't. I know someone who's currently pregnant and was on depo. The only way that's 100% effective is not having sex at all.

I never found that taking it any time during the day ever effected my pill. I was on it for 12 years. Only time I got pregnant 6 years ago was when I was on penicillin for a lung infection and that made my pill not work.

Also a lot of people forget to take then everyday. You have to take them everyday for it to be effective
