Question about epidural?

When you have an epidural, do you have to have a catheter put in? In scared about how painful this will be to remove.. Anyone out there had this done? How much pain were you in?

I was high risk with my last pregnancy and the Cath just feels like you have to pee and removal

I had an epidural and I was able to get up and use the bathroom when I needed with help of my husband to get me there cause I was so numb.

They gave me a catheter up until I was pushing, then they took it out I was still numb. I actually had another one about 2 hours after I had him because I was still numb and couldn't pee on my own.

I had an epidural, C-Section, and catheter for what seemed like less than a day after my surgery. It was not bothersome at all. I couldn't feel it when they put it in, while it was in, or when they removed it.

Not typically, I only had to get one with my vaginal birth because there was so much swelling after the birth.
