👏 Hello, hah so the reason I’m posting this in “Teen Relationships” is beCauSe I’m a teen and most of you guys have protective parents. I want to get on birth control I am 14 going into 15 soon and I have horrible periods. I’ve had my period since 11 and they are super heavy, lasting 6-8 days with horrific cramps to the point of laying in the floor crying. Plus, my head throbs and I get bad acne durning this time around my forehead and cheeks. How should I ask my mom for birth control, she is so protective/selfish. That may be harsh, but I recently got a UTI and mom told me to get over it. Also when I cry over my period and lay in the floor she tells me everyone has them. Don’t let me forget that I can’t go out, because she thinks I’m a horrible kid. (I make straight As and I wouldn’t ever think to do anything bad!!)She doesn’t believe in birth control but she let my sister get it at late 10th grade. I’m of course going to wait but... how should I ask when the time comes????
