7 wks 5 days with twins. Need opinions please.

Amanda

So due to multiple miscarriages I worried when I found out I was pregnant. Last month I set up a free u/s @ pregnancy center nearby so I bc would see the baby sooner but they changed the date which ended up being this last Monday, 5 days after regular Dr u/s. Since bf couldn't go to one last week, I kept the appointment.

Well they only did a transvaginal last week which I thought was odd. They found 1 baby with heart rate of 123 bpm.

Monday's u/s they did an abdominal first. We saw two almost immediately and could visibly see both of the hearts moving. When she did the transvaginal she tried getting measurements and heartbeats of both but was having a hard time as one kept hiding. She did get 2 heartbeat readings and measurements which she said might be off as she's not very familiar with twins. One heart rate was 150 bpm and second was 151 bpm. Would it be odd to say that the heartbeats were both from the same baby? Or is it possible for them to be that similar??

I had an ultrasound where baby a heartbeat was 160 and b was 161 and then last Thursday baby a heartbeat was 148 and baby bs heartbeat was 153. So they could have gotten both of them. Mine weren't that off

Thought I had posted this picture too, but I guess I hadn't. This was during the 2nd ultrasound as well.

That second sac does look really strange.

This doesn't necessarily 100% have to be twins. Not to be rude, but with the Sacs being so different in size the other may be blood, or something of that nature. There are a lot of things that look like the potential to be a second baby

I don't think I would trust her very much. Especially since she said herself she wasn't very familiar with twins. Was it just one of those clinics that'll do ultrasounds? They aren't very reliable. I would really only go off of what your doctors office did. But that's just me.

That early in pregnancy a lot of times doctors go straight to transvaginal. They didn't even attempt an abdominal until I was 12 weeks and even then had to do a transvaginal because you can't see as much with an abdomjnal

that one was very odd. every time I've ever had ultrasounds during pregnancy I've always had both an abdominal and then transvaginal but the Dr office jumped straight to the transvaginal...

During the abdominal ultrasound we saw both of them beating separately in their own, but transvaginally was harder. I kinda wonder if because I only had the transvaginal at my doctors office is maybe why they missed it. that

At my 8 week both twins had a heart rate of 158.

It is possible for the heartbeats to be that close. I'm almost 18 weeks with fraternal twins and my doctor hasn't been able to distinguish the difference but you can still see both beating.
