To "meet weight and tape" is BS. If they don't pass weight and tape they might get a lecture about it, if it keeps occurring then the person's chain of command will start taking more measures to remove them from the military.

It is your responsibility to be meeting their standards.

My husband is active duty and has been in 7 years next month, my father served 6 years, and my brother and his wife have both served 3 years so far.

I promise you I've never heard any of them ever mention anything like this, not even my husband when I was pregnant with our daughter and he "gained with me" during my pregnancy. It just meant he needed to do extra work outs, and start eating healthier.

Military does PT every morning, so then it's on you to eat healthy and if you need the extra work out to go on your days off or after work.

Also no, if you ever hear someone say that recruiters will make their recruits do something like this to be sure they pass weight and tape to make it it the military you're wrong.

My husband is currently a recruiter and neither him or anyone in his office does anything to their recruits if they don't pass weight and tape. That's on you just like everyone else, there is no easy way to lose weight. Just working out and eating healthy, plus diets like this normally only starve you and you end up gaining it all back within a week.

Do something healthy, drink more watwr, stop drinking soda and caffeine, cut the junk or at least most of the junk out of your diet. Learn portion control and find a work out routine that works for you and your schedule, you'll see the weight come off
