Even if its not the career/job you would wrk in, do you think being a CNA is a good job ?

like what good would you say comes out of being a CNA ? im asking because people usually always have something negative to say about CNA's

My sister is an STNA. I believe they are the same thing or similar? Its a rough job. She deals with cranky people, perverted people (who she has to shower and help to the restroom), both her jobs (nursing rehab center and hospital) are under staffed. But she makes decent money (she is 20 and has done it since 18). Its rewarding, but not for everyone. I probably couldnt do it. I would be too stressed. She works 12 hour shifts fairly often. Sometimes doubles which are 16 hours. If you can handle those working conditions then by all means do it

No. It is a very entry level position that is not generally a life long career. Having worked very closely with them, I can say that the majority of the time they are horrible at their jobs. I’m always shocked when a CNA actually has information on their patients. I’ve seen way too much neglect and abuse from nursing homes, that I can’t bring myself to respect the job.

It's not an easy job but it's definitely rewarding. Doctors, nurses, management, etc. will mostly treat you like garbage and like you're nothing, even though you are doing 99% of the work. But making the residents happy is what got me through it. I only quit because my grandpa I was closest to passed away and it was hard seeing others I cared about in the same position. I've been wanting to go back and work as a CNA again.

No. I mean it’s rewarding and the pay is OK but in the long run it is too physically and emotionally straining.
