Weaning off breastfeeding?

My daughter is 7 months old & has been exclusively breastfed since 4 months. I don’t want to wean her of completely but I do want to start making her milk out of her zippy cup since she’ll drink water & home made juice out of them. Any tips on how to do it?

I would just put the milk in whatever cup you want her to drink out of. It took my daughter a bit to catch on but she figured it out and I got rid of bottles and she just drank her formula from a sippy cup

She should only be drinking formula or breastmilk for the first year.

Well, around 6 months you can start letting them try different foods, if they are interested. Some mothers decide baby led weaning and give let's say a steamed carrot or broccoli or zucchini, some mothers go for purees, some are even at the shops for sale. Juice isn't good for your child's enamel, shell end up having bad cavity of the amount of sugar she taking in. Its not a slice of orange or apple, its 3 oranges or apples. If you get what I mean . google baby led weaning and breastfeeding association, don't just stop breastfeeding. Start offering solids and such.. Or google healthy baby puree recipes for 7 month old. Might let her try some porridge? Like oatmeal, blender oats beforehand.. For breakfast and not much, start with couple of spoonfuls. Also they do a funky face because they are getting used to the texture since milk has been the only food for her .. Also you can mix breast milk with purees to let them used to the texture. Taste is familiar. Lady who said no other stuff before year one.. I don't agree with it. But that's me. Breastfeeding association says the same. Food is for fun and taste.. And breastmilk main stuff still.
