Out of the norm?

Question

Every single sonogram I have ever had thru 3 pregnancies has be performed by my OB.  Is this unusual? I am putting together a pro/con list of my dr since I may have to (sadly) switch.

Mine have always been been done by a tech... And all 4 so far (spanning 2 pregnancies) have been great and accurate. Even according to my OB standards.

It's a very small practice and a 2 minute walk from their hospital so that might have something to do with it. I'm very lucky.

Mine have all been by a tech but I get to review them with my ob. It's nice the ob does them for you!

My OB does them all. I like that as I trust him over a tech

My 9 week & 13 week ultrasound were performed by my OB but my 18 week anatomy scan was performed by a tech.

My OB does every single one. I like that he can take notes on growth and point out what he's looking for. :)

Well I've never had one done by my OB only the NP on my first visit to confirm pregnancy. Every other time a tech has done it. I think it is nice if ur OB does it so they can see everything with their own eyes. But from my experience none of my OBs really have the time for that.
