Preparing for cervical cerclage; What to expect?

I’m a little nervous. My doctor will be doing a double stitch, not sure if that’s the norm or if a single is the typical. I’m 13+2 and will be having it done at 15 weeks. 
What was recovery like?
How painful initially was it? 
What was the worst part of it all? 
Did it last until 36 weeks or later?
And anything else you can think of to tell me please

I had mine at 14 weeks - single stitch I believe. Worst part for me was the no food or drink after midnight before the procedure. Waiting all day for the procedure sucked and put my nerves through the roof. The spinal tap is a weird feeling but not painful. Procedure took about 10
Minutes - couldn’t feel anything. Recovery was about an hour or two while waiting for the spinal to wear off. You have to be able to walk and pee before leaving. Took it easy for a few days afterwards and if I overdid it I would cramp/spot but that was normal. Resumed all activities within a week including work - I work in preschool and didn’t know if I could return but I did on modified duties of no lifting or prolonged walking. I had the stitch removed at 37.7 and I don’t remember any of the procedure. Currently 40.5 and still no dilation so the stitch did it’s job. Good luck :)

Recovery isn’t bad. The worst part is waiting to go home honestly. They’re pretty nice about meds if you need them, depending on the doctor. I’m 26 weeks so I haven’t reached the end yet but I hear a mostly positive success rate
