When did you start bringing newborn out in public (restaurants, stores, etc.)?

Day 2 - I went and bought groceries. Day 4 we went to the mall. I have a toddler who gets really stir crazy, and my husband works a weird schedule. My life can't stop because of a newborn! Also, I don't think it should. It feels good to get out and get things done! Just wear your baby in a moby or keep them covered in the carseat if you don't want people touching!
