May have accidentally taken thyroid medication twice?

I am almost 30 weeks pregnant and on a very low dose of levothroxine, 50mcg, there is a possibility I took my pill twice this morning but I don’t know for certain. My daughter has been up with a fever and throwing up since 230am so I am exhausted and honestly can’t remember. Should I be worried? I know that it’s a slow acting medicine and most of what I read said once is no big deal but I just wanted other opinions. Both my OB and Endo are closed this weekend so I don’t really want to call the after hours number if it’s not necessary.

You should be just fine.  My dr has me taking 50mg everyday except Tuesday and Thursday. On those days I take two 50 mg pills.

You are totally fine accidentally taking 1 extra dose of levothyroxine. Your thyroid levels aren’t affected that quickly. I am on 50 mcg as well which is a low dose. There is nothing you can do about possibly taking an extra dose at this point either. Don’t let yourself stress, you will be just fine!

I'm a registered nurse. You're fine. If you really think you took two, you can skip your dose tomorrow if you want. But really it's not going to matter either way. It's just helping to replace a hormone your body already makes, so one extra dose is not going to to anything.

A pharmacist should be able to tell you any thing to look out for if your body is not coping with that dosage in the correct way. Worth an ask to see what they say.
