Help midwife appt and understaffing issue at work!!!

Hello I think I'm either nearly 8 weeks or 11 pregnant and I only saw the midwife yesterday for the first time as my manager new at 5/8 weeks but could not give me time off for an appointment for another 3 weeks. The midwife advise me to go for a dating scan by the end of the week but once again my manager has said I will have to wait another 2 more weeks for time off which I'm not happy with and I told her this is stressing me out as I need to know everything is ok, at which she reply well it's happen at a bad time.
