Trouble burping??

Question

My baby is 3 weeks old and drinks formula -about 3oz every 3ish hours. I try to burp him after his feeding and he doesn’t burp every time. He just grunts the whole time. He’s been having a lot of gas and gas pain. What are you guys doing to manage their gas??

Burp after every ounce, cup your hand while patting and rub up his back.

I switched to Enfamil Gentlease for our son. He had a lot of gas too. I could feel it gurgling in his belly and he was passing gas lot and whimpering as if uncomfortable. It took a day for his body to adjust to the switch (I.e. he didn’t poop until late that night) but now he’s much more content. Our daughter used Gentleease too. It helped her as well.

Keep burping him even if it's for an hour try standing and burping or sitting him up or lay him on your lap then Pat his back
